Ever since middle school when I read a book about living out of a van driving through the Australian Outback, I’ve been fascinated (well, obsessed really) with the idea of living out of a van and having the ultimate freedom to travel and adventure wherever you want to go.
I’ve loved and respected the idea of vanlife wayyyyy before it was cool and Insta-worthy. I was an ultra early adopter, and I’m proud of it! This love is what powered my decision to convert my own Honda Pilot into an Adventure Mobile (basically a mini version of these incredible vans), but that’s another story for another time!
So when Kyleigh and Tom from Bellingham’s own Freedom Vans reached out to work together, it felt like George Clooney was calling. I was beyond giddy and honored. What Kyleigh, Tom, and the Freedom Vans team do and create is truly celebrity status to me!
You’re telling me that I get to hang out in a custom van shop and take pictures of their team doing their extraordinary work on custom off grid vans?!?!?!? Say less boo boo. Say less.
